Masa Takayama is world renowned for his attention to detail and the level of artistry he brings to the culinary experience. The only sushi chef with three Michelin stars outside of Japan, he goes to extraordinary lengths to obtain and serve the finest ingredients in the world—it's no wonder Masa is the most expensive restaurant in the country.  

Masa's desire was a web presence that was shibui in nature. We designed an interactive experience that conveys the philosophical and artistic underpinnings of Chef Masa's work without being overtly expositional. Bringing in film director Christopher Kay to develop a short piece for the site allowed us to capture the essence of the Masa experience in a compelling yet understated manner.
