The Thurber House

Often the voices to articulate irony, parody, and paradox from the back or side of the room, comedic artists have an uncanny commonality of being at once the smartest and the smart-assiest in that room. Among the many people affecting culture, these humorists may (unfairly) get the dimmest spotlight. Maybe that’s because they feel like our friends. The same as or similar to us. Next to us rather than in front of us.

Spring 2022 brings with it much promise and opportunity. We’re thrilled to be at the beginning of a relationship with Thurber House, the organization named for James Thurber of New Yorker fame. We begin our work in March—what "emotional chaos recollected in tranquility" we will discover then is yet to be known.
